The 5 Best YouTube Workout Videos and Channels

YOUTUBE-WORKOUT-VIDEOS

The best YouTube workout videos are ones that I don’t get bored from, and that I can quickly work through while my toddlers scream for snacks in the background. For real…tired mom life.

Since I became a mom over three years ago, one thing has remained constant: My at home workouts.

I think I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve been to the gym since having my kids. And honestly, I’m pretty sure three of those times were on vacation while the kids were being watched in the hotel room by my in-laws. So, me and YouTube workouts are well acquainted. You could even say that we’re in a long-term, stable relationship.

After working out with different videos 3-5 times a week, I’ve compiled a list of the best YouTube workout videos (and channels!) that will give you the best home workout:

The Fitness Marshall

As soon as he opens up with, “Hey, booties,” I get excited. I’m like Pavlov and the dogs, ready to dance my heart out. Look, I’m not a dancer, and I only do these videos in front of my poor, sweet, innocent little toddlers who can’t judge my inability to drop it like it’s hot.

Caleb has a way of making you pumped and excited to work out, which is why I keep coming back to his videos! The effects in the background keep my busy mind focused, and the dances definitely up your heartrate. Seriously, just click to minute 2:08 and hear him say, “That’s a waste of plastic.” It makes me giggle every single time.

Ballet Beautiful

Who knew ballet could be so hard? (Kidding, Mom, I know you’ve told us how hard ballet is our whole lives.) Though this workout is calm and slow, I don’t think my legs, arms, abs, or anything else for that matter, have ever burned as bad as in these videos.

She has a whole series of her ballet beautiful videos, and you’ll feel as graceful as the top ballerinas—until you look in the mirror. Don’t blame me the next day when you can barely walk.

POPSUGAR Fitness

Everything POPSUGAR does is great, but when they throw Raneir Pollard into the mix, I just about die. He’s a hard instructor, which leaves me sore for days, but he’s also hilarious. I’m big on laughing, so if the workout doesn’t make me laugh at least once (or cry from soreness the next day), it’s a no go.

You’ll be laughing with Raneir, which is a bonus cause can you say, “Abs!” Laughing makes YouTube workouts worth doing when you’re covered in toddler snot.

Heather Robertson

She’s not going to make you laugh—but she will make you really sore. She has awesome HIIT videos with weights, and the next day I can barely walk. In fact, I do this really fun thing where I work out extremely hard with her videos, and then I can’t work out again for the next six days because of how sore I am.

Just make sure your toddlers are secured when you start swinging those weights around. And no, I’m not speaking from personal experience. (But for real, be careful.)

Boho Beautiful

Beautiful people and beautiful backgrounds…can you ask for anything more? She’s calming, fit as can be, and her workouts are hard! You’ll be comfortably sore the rest of the day, but it’ll be done under such Zen conditions that you’ll be signing up for every video of hers.

She has beginner classes, intermediate classes, and advanced classes. Plus, she has videos that aren’t yoga-based too!

The Best YouTube Workout Videos

Whether you’re a mom, college student, or someone on the go, these YouTube channels (and the videos!) are going to keep you healthy. Plus, there’s a little something for everyone! As you can see, I like to mix my workouts up. Ballet, yoga, cardio, HIIT, oh my! Try all of them (just, not in the same day) and tell me what you think.
