colleen hoover books

Romance books are a great way to get your mind off of the distractions of the world. Everyone loves a good rom-com, and whether you want young adult romance, college or new adult romance, or sports romance, there’s something for everyone on these author’s lists! Check out my list of the best romance authors:

Kennedy Ryan

One of my all time favorite romance authors is Kennedy Ryan. She’s a RITA winner and a best-selling author, but that’s not even the best thing about her.

Kennedy Ryan writes about topics that are often hard to talk about, and she does it with style and grace. Her books are full of strong female leads, biracial and diverse characters, and heartwarming relationships.

Some books of hers that I love are:

  • Hook Shot
  • The Kingmaker
  • Block Shot

Whitney G.

I haven’t read of all Whitney G.‘s books, but the ones I have, I’ve loved. She writes romance in categories as low as new adult romance to middle-aged romance, but I’ve only read her NA ones.

My favorite books of Whitney G. are:

  • Sincerely, Carter
  • Forget You, Ethan

Colleen Hoover

If you read romance, chances are you’ve heard of Colleen Hoover. Easily one of the largest self-published author success stories, Colleen Hoover is romance author who writes Young Adult romance, New Adult romance, and regular romance.

She’s a NYT bestseller, and she’s known around the world for her many books. Some of my favorite Colleen Hoover books are:

  • It Ends With Us
  • Regretting You
  • Slammed

Elle Kennedy

Elle Kennedy is the queen of hockey romance novels. If you love college romance and sports, she’s the romance author to read! Not only are her books fast-paced and interesting, but they’re hilarious as well. Her characters are strong, always unique, and easy to love!

Some of my favorite Elle Kennedy Books are:

  • The Play
  • The Mistake

Jay McClean

If you love sweet, funny, YA romance, Jay McClean is the one to follow. She lives in Melbourne, but most of her books are written in U.S. settings. Her characters face some hefty challenges, but the budding first romances are cute and easy reads.

My favorite Jay McClean books are:

  • More Than This
  • Heartache and Hope

If you haven’t read these authors yet, you have to give them a try! A bunch of their books are available for free on Kindle Unlimited. And if you’re looking for something new to read, preorder my college rom-com Les is More, which is also available on Kindle Unlimited!
